My Story
This year, I am completing the C-130 Challenge in aid of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund - Running, walking and/or cycling 130 miles in 47 days for charity. I love the Hercules and I am sad to see it retire out of service from the RAF - having worked on it for years.
I am currently deployed in RAF Akrotiri, Cyprus and will be doing some of this fitness challenge whilst here. Your donations, no matter how big or small will be grately appreciated. Thank you.
Background about the RAFBF:
People who have served in the RAF are trained to be self-reliant. They don't want to make a fuss and they don't want to be a burden. So all too often, when life gets tough, they suffer in silence.
We don't believe anyone who has served their country should have to struggle through life.
We're the RAF Benevolent Fund, and we're here to support people who are serving or have served and their families, when they need it most.
From counselling and financial support to adapting homes or replacing boilers, from the big challenges to the small changes, we can help people live with the dignity and independence they deserve.
For over 100 years, we've been the RAFs most devoted friend, supporting the whole of the RAF Family from the oldest veteran to the youngest child.
Together, we'll continue to be here for as long as they need us.
