My Story

612 Medical Reserve Squadron will aim to bounce back from lock-down with a fundraising challenge in aid of the RAF Benevolent Fund (RAFBF), the RAF’s leading welfare charity. Squadron members, along with their friends and family, will be able to walk, run or cycle in a bid to reach a collective total of 612 miles and contribute to our target of £6,120 in sponsorship.

The past 12+ months have been a tough time for our medical reservists who, from the very beginning, have been working tremendously hard fighting the pandemic. This charity event will provide a fantastic opportunity for everyone to re-connect as a squadron whilst celebrating and remembering the tremendous work of the RAF Benevolent Fund in support of the RAF community. The challenge will allow Sqn members (past and present) families and friends to enjoy the great outdoors in a bid to raise funds in support of the RAFBF. It does not matter if you are eight or 80, a park walker or triathlete, everyone can walk, run or cycle a few miles toward our 612-mile total.
