My Story

This summer, I will be taking part in the RAF Benevolent Fund's 80 Miles in 80 Days challenge in celebration of the RAF Air Cadets 80th anniversary. My challenge will support the RAF Benevolent Fund, the RAF's leading welfare charity, and the RAF Air Cadets General Purposes Fund.

The challenge runs from 1 June to 19 August. Doris will be walking every step with me as usual, this challenge will be as hard as my last was, but like that one, it will make me get up and get out, give me a purpose and help out others at the same time just by walking Doris, I will need to complete the 80 miles within the 80 day period.

I know it wasn't long ago that I was asking if you had a spare £1 and here I am asking for the same yet again, but every single £1 really does help so please don't think you can't give just £1, you can and I will be so very grateful for your support.  The money raised it being split 50/50, half to the Royal Air Force Benevolent fund (who, 10 years ago were kind enough to purchase a profiling bed for me) and half to the Royal Air force Air Cadets, the next generation of the RAF who are celebrating their 80th anniversary, Doris is also the official mascot of my local RAF Air Cadet squadron, 878 (Highworth) Squadron and we are often over there with the cadets.  So if you can support my challenge by sponsoring me today Doris and I will be very grateful. Thank you!
